In our attempt to live up to our motto “Nulli Secundus” we provide the procurement of dogs with the requisite qualities to be developed through quality training into highly trained drugs, explosive, security and protection dogs of the highest standard. We continually assess our techniques and technology to offer you the very best in service and results.
Watchdogs Ltd courses are structured by one of the finest dog training teams in the country. A team made from individuals who excel in their own fields utilising experience gained over many years in the industry. Our Head of Dog Training has over 25 years professional experience training dogs and handlers for government and civilian agencies all over the world for the detection of drugs, explosives, arms, tobacco and cash.
The courses are held over varying periods dependent on type of course and the handlers experience and are bespoke to individual requirements.
Our standards are extremely high, ensuring that only handlers and dogs who display the requisite abilities will successfully complete the course. Our courses are not an attendance only course and we endeavour to produce students with credibility within the industry.
Once a team has successfully completed a course it will be ready for immediate operational deployment. (Subject to any further external licensing).
Weekend courses
Watchdogs Ltd are fully aware many students are not able to attend training during normal throughout the working week therefore, we now deliver weekend courses to suit your needs. Please call the office for more details.
Specialist search dog courses
The dogs can be trained to detect a variety and combination of target substances subject to client needs. The following list is not exhaustive:
- Drugs,
- Currency,
- Tobacco,
- Mobile Phones,
- Small Arms
Pro-Active Dogs
The dogs are trained in specific techniques for property, indoor and out door areas and other specified search techniques, such as vehicle searches.
Passive/Scanning Dogs
The dogs are specifically trained to search people for substances within several given environments.
Multi Purpose Drugs Detection (MPDD)
The dogs are trained in specified techniques for both property and person searches.
Operational Staff Training/Search Dog Awareness
This course is designed for those organisations that require their staff trained in awareness detection dog operations, either AES or Drugs and who will be required to secure an environment effectively and efficiently prior to deployment of a dog search team.
Including what is required from and expected of a dog and handler within the search field.
Patrol Dog: * To NASDU accreditation if required
This course is to prepare the dog and handler to work in the Security Industry. Further enhanced courses are available to the more experienced team.
Introduction to Baiting:
This course is designed to introduce dog handlers to the safe and effective methods of training their dogs protection work. This covers both theory and practical aspects.
Kennel Assistant:
This is a comprehensive course designed with those individuals in mind who need training in the correct and most effective methods of dog welfare and husbandry. Includes: Dog first aid, common ailments, signs of health, treatment and recognition of parasites.
Grooming:
A complete package for those interested in all aspects of dog grooming.
